About Us

Casino Bicycles is a family owned and operated business established in 2004 by the Medore family. Since 2004, Casino Bicycles has been a subcontractor for local bicycle manufactures, a bicycle importer and manufacture, online retailer, and a brick and mortar bicycle shop. We consider ourselves a high end bicycle repair shop where we can fix almost any type of bicycle the correct way. We have a a variety of services as basic as tire and tube changes up to complete bicycle restorations. We have the ability to customize, remanufacture, prototype, and repair almost anything in our in house machine shop. We also work closely with a local CNC machine shop for production jobs when needed.

We have a staff with the knowledge and training to fix your bike or aid you in your purchase of your next bicycle.

Key Staff Memebers

Matt Medore

Graduate of Hemet High school in 2004, he went to California State University of San Bernardino and received two business degrees in 2008, one in marketing and the other in entrepreneurship. While in high school, Matt raced downhill mountain bikes for such teams as Ellsworth/Mazda, Dirtworks, and Nicolai/Nissan. Here he was able to establish a name for himself while working at a local bicycle shop, and quickly got hired on by Hope Technology in 2002. In 2004, he founded Casino Bicycles Corporation, and that's all history!

Matt has training with CAD and also does most of the in house machining. While attending college, he acted as the general contractor for our building renovation and did almost all the work himself, including the design and fabrication of over 200 feet of wrought iron fencing around the facility.

Matt also is level 1 fit certified with Trek and does almost all the repairs here at the shop.

Art Medore

Art has a bachelor's degree in artistic design from California State University of San Bernardino. He worked for over 40 years in the aviation field flying and working on WWII airplanes such as the T-6 and BT-13. Recently, his hobby has turned to cycling as he followed his son Matt to races. Now you can find Art riding century rides over the mountains into Palm Desert and back into town on his Trek Madone Project One bike. He logs in over 5,000 miles in the saddle every year... probably more than he drives since he lives right down the street from the shop.

Loretta Medore

Loretta is a retired Hemet techer of 32 years. She has a master's degree from University of Redlands in writing. She primarily handles the administrative work, (answering the phones, handling the books, keeping the office running smoothly) but occasionally she does make it out front in the retail store.

FAQ's

Where did the name Casino Bicycles come from?

We get asked this almost every day. In 2004, we were working on our soon to be new facility in Cabazon, CA adjacent to Casino Morongo. The County of Riverside was set for a community center next to our facility which is what we were counting on to open up shop. The economy turned south, and development of the community center was postponed. The name Casino Bicycles stayed because our web site was already established and so was the company as a whole.

I have used bikes, will you buy them from me?

In short, no. If we bought everyone's used bikes we would go broke and we would have a huge heap of old bicycles to get rid of. The best way to discard of your bike is at a garage sale, recycler pages, craigslist.com, or other web sites like mtbr.com, pinkbike.com... etc. If you have something special like a collectors item (old Schwinn Phantom, Crate, etc) please let us know, we are interested in possibly buying these.

Was Casino Bicycles Affiliated with Nicolai?

Yes, however we cut our ties with Nicolai in 2008 due the poor economy and ongoing conflicts with Nicolai in Germany. If you have any warranty questions, please contact them at usa@nicolai.net. We do have some service parts including bearings, shims, bolts, derailleur hangers, axles, and more. We also can provide servicing on suspension pivots and servicing of the Rohloff based G-Boxx.
